This Privacy Policy describes how Screentime Nanny("we," "us,") handles information in connection with the Screentime Nannymobile application ("App") and the website at https://screentimenanny.us("Site").

1. Summary

Screentime Nanny does not collect, store, or transmit personal data from the App. The App operates entirely on your Android device. There is no user account, no cloud backend, and no analytics or advertising SDKs embedded in the App. Usage statistics are read locally only to power the credit system.

2. Information the App processes (on-device only)

The App may process the following data locally on your device:

• Parent PIN (stored locally, encrypted by Android)
• App ratings you assign (educational vs. entertainment)
• Credit wallet balance and transaction history
• Quest Board chores and completion status
• App usage duration (via Usage Access) to compute credits
• Photos you optionally attach (e.g., profile or lost-and-found, if applicable)

None of this data is sent to our servers because we do not operate servers that receive App data.

3. Information the App does NOT collect

• No name, email, or account registration in the App
• No child personal information transmitted off-device
• No location/GPS data
• No contacts, SMS, or call logs
• No analytics, crash reporting, or advertising identifiers in the App
• No sale or sharing of personal information

4. Android permissions

Usage Access

Required to detect which apps are in the foreground and for how long. Used solely on-device to add or subtract credits. Data is not transmitted.

Display over other apps (overlay)

Used to show the Kids Play Zone balance and lock screens when credits are depleted. Displayed only on your device.

Device Administrator (optional)

Optional permission to reduce the chance of unauthorized uninstall by a child. Enabled only if you choose it during setup.

Notifications

Optional local notifications (e.g., chore reminders). No push notification servers are used.

Camera / Photo library

Used only if you choose to take or attach photos within App features. Images remain on your device unless you share them outside the App yourself.

5. Children's privacy (COPPA)

Screentime Nanny is a parental tool intended for use by parents and guardians. It is not directed at children to collect their personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not require children to create accounts or provide identifying information. 6. Website data

This Site uses no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics by default.

If you submit our contact form, we receive the information you provide (name, email, message) solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not use it for marketing without consent.

7. GDPR (EEA/UK users)

For App usage: we are not a data controller of personal data processed within the App because data does not leave your device to us.

For Site contact form submissions: legal basis is legitimate interest / consent to respond to your request. You may request access, correction, or deletion of contact form data by emailing info@screentimenanny.us.

8. CCPA (California residents)

We do not sell or share personal information. We do not collect personal information through the App. For Site inquiries, California residents may request disclosure or deletion of information submitted via the contact form.

9. Data retention

App data persists on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its storage. Uninstalling removes all App data. See our Data Deletion page.

10. Security

Because data stays on your device, security depends on your device passcode, PIN, and Android security updates. Protect your parent PIN as you would any sensitive credential.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date.
